Summer Solstice Celebration with Susan Johnson - Sat 27 June, 10.00am-4.00pm £25 for day or £15 per session

Susan Johnson, author of the 'Thirty Paths' series back by popular demand, two different sessions. Click here to go to Susan's Website. From 10 to 12 : ‘Relaxation for Busy People’. From 1-4 pm: ‘Summer Solstice and Strawberry Tea’. Bring & Share Veggie Lunch from 12 to 1 for those attending whole day. Date for your diary: 21 November -- Susan returns for a Winter Solstice Celebration. All proceeds will go to the Yorkshire Yoga Disabilities programme.

BWY Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Laura Bissell
No Mumbo Jumbo, just a relaxed and easy way for the two of you to prepare for the birth of your child. Best done in the last trimester. British Wheel of Yoga Pregnancy Teacher will guide mums-to-be and their birthing partners through yoga breathing exercises synchronised with massage techniques developed by a midwife. Different active birth positions are explored as we go through the massage sequences and learn how to ease the pain of childbirth. Relaxation skills will be taught for the two of you to practice together, promoting confidence and nurturing the joy of giving birth. Quarterly workshops.

Sizzling Saturday Sessions - 5th September £15 each

Session One - 10.00-12.00 - Intro to Ashtanga Yoga with Caroline Salter (BWY). A challenging series that dynamically flows from one posture to the next, linked together by the breath-movement synchronisation of vinyasa. This is an aerobic workout that increases upper body strength and flexibilty in a short period of time.

Session Two - 14.00-16.00 - Intro to the HOT 26 Postures with Jacqui Jones (BWY). Performed in a studio heated to 90°F. Yorkshire Yoga’s user-friendly version of Hot Yoga for beginners has been inspired by the many teachers who studied with Yogendra Bishnu Ghosh. Each posture stretches and strenghtens specific muscles, ligaments and joints, stimulating the organs, glands and nerves to move fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body.
